This past weekend we threw a baby shower for my sister. It was a lovely party with lots of food, tons of presents, a candy bar, and the cutest diaper cake made by my oldest sister. I was in charge of desserts and made fresh strawberry cupcakes (a Martha Stewart recipe). Instead of using the recipe frosting I used my Aunt Penny’s Vanilla Buttercream Frosting which is my all time favorite frosting and decorated it with a cute paper straw from Dress My Cupcake. I also made a Trifle Dump-Cake consisting of layers of chocolate cake, chocolate pudding, whipped topping, crushed up toffee candy bars, and cute signage.
It was so much fun celebrating with family and friends. And I just can’t wait to meet my nephew!
